Samara Tree House Inn

When Brenda and I are talking with people seeking recommendations for Costa Rica, one of the places we frequently suggest is Samara. It’s a quaint, unpretentious village on the pacific coast with a wonderful beach and community. Its central location in the Nicoya peninsula affords you the opportunity to explore other areas in addition to enjoying all that Samara has to offer.

When the conversation turns to accommodations, we always recommend Samara Tree House Inn. The property consists of a couple of traditional style rooms along with four “tree houses”. They really aren’t tree houses, they are more like cabinas on stilts. Each one is furnished with a full kitchen and bathroom, a comfortable sitting area and a bedroom. The kitchen is stocked with necessary cooking utensils if you wish to prepare your own food. The windows in the sitting area open fully to an expansive view of the beach and ocean.

Here is a short drone video I shot from the resort the last time we were in Costa Rica.

In addition, each treehouse has a private outdoor dining area including a charcoal grill located directly beneath your unit. Here is where you will be treated to a wonderful complimentary breakfast each morning. Also, there is a small pool for your enjoyment after a long day of exploration.

And of course, there’s the beach. It’s not as grand as the beach in Santa Teresa or Guiones in Nosara, but it is beautiful. Here you will enjoy gentle waves and shallow waters to swim and walk-in. Samara Tree House Inn sits directly on the beach. All you have to do is walk out of your rental and within twenty yards you’ll enjoy the wonderful experience of Playa Samara.

If a trip to Costa Rica is in your future plans and Samara is one of your stops, drop us a note.  We’d love to show you around.

Thanks for checking us out.
